  3. Arrange Peeps on top of chocolate chips in a single layer. They can touch but shouldn’t be stacked.

  5. Remove from oven. Serve immediately while hot with graham crackers for dipping.

Tips & Variations

Supper & Sage Tip: Serve this IMMEDIATELY out of the oven while it’s still gooey and melty. The chocolate starts to harden as it cools and the Peeps deflate. This is a “gather everyone around right now” dessert, not a make-ahead situation!

Peeps options:

  • Any color works – mix for rainbow effect
  • Bunnies and chicks both work
  • Can use regular marshmallows if you can’t find Peeps
  • Yellow, pink, purple, blue = classic Easter colors

Chocolate options:

  • Milk chocolate = sweeter, kid-friendly
  • Semi-sweet = good balance
  • Dark chocolate = less sweet for adults
  • Mix chips for variety

Baking dish matters:

  • Cast iron skillet = rustic presentation, holds heat well
  • Pie plate = works great
  • 8×8 baking dish = good for crowds
  • Smaller dish = thicker dip, longer bake time

Serving ideas:

  • Set dish on trivet in center of table
  • Provide lots of graham crackers
  • Offer napkins (it’s messy!)
  • Have fun and embrace the chaos

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I make this ahead?
A: No – this needs to be served hot and gooey right out of the oven. Make it right before serving.

Q: What if I don’t have Peeps?
A: Use regular marshmallows! Won’t be Easter-themed but still delicious s’mores dip.

Q: Can I use a broiler instead?
A: Yes! Broil on low for 3-5 minutes, watching closely so Peeps don’t burn.

Q: My chocolate didn’t melt all the way.
A: Bake 2-3 minutes longer, or stir the chocolate before adding Peeps to help it melt evenly.
