Ingredients
Method
Make the Brownies
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13" glass or ceramic baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine both brownie mixes, water, oil, whiskey, and eggs. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in ½ cup chocolate chips and ½ cup peanut butter chips. Avoid overmixing.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35 minutes. During the last 5 minutes, sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips and peanut butter chips across the top.
- Insert a toothpick into the center — if it comes out mostly clean (a few crumbs are fine), the brownies are done.
- Cool completely before frosting.
Make the Peanut Butter Frosting
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat softened butter, powdered sugar, peanut butter, and whiskey.
- Whip on high speed for 5 minutes, or until fluffy.
Finish
- Once brownies are fully cooled, spread the frosting evenly across the top.
- Slice and enjoy.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Brownies can also be frozen (frosted or unfrosted) for up to 3 months.
