Spicy Jalapeño Margarita (Chili Lime Salt Rim)

Fresh jalapeño, chili lime salt rim, and a classic margarita base. Bold, cold, and ready in five minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz. blanco tequila
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • 3 oz. fresh lime juice
  • jalapeño slices 3-4 for medium spice, 1-2 for mild
  • Chili lime seasoning for the rim
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass. Roll the rim in chili lime seasoning and set aside.
  2. Fill the glass with ice and add the jalapeño slices directly to the glass.
  3. Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Pour in the tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice.
  4. Shake well until cold, about 15 seconds.
  5. Strain the margarita over the jalapeños and ice. Garnish with a lime slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For a pitcher, multiply all ingredients by the number of servings and add jalapeño slices directly to the pitcher. Add the chili lime rim per glass right before serving.
