Method
Make the Rosemary Simple Syrup
- Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Stir in 1 cup sugar until dissolved.
- Add fresh rosemary sprigs, remove from heat, and let steep 20 minutes.
- Strain and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Keeps for 1 week in the fridge.
Make the Cocktail
- Place half a cinnamon stick into a shaker.
- Add 1 shot whiskey, 1 tablespoon rosemary simple syrup, and cranberry juice to taste (usually 3–4 oz).
- Add ice and shake well.
- Wet a few cranberries and roll them in sugar to create a frosted “snow” effect.
- Pour the cocktail into a glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with:
- a fresh rosemary sprig, sugared cranberries, and a cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes
Prepare the rosemary simple syrup up to 7 days in advance. Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.
