Cranberry Rosemary Whiskey Fizz Cocktail

A cozy winter cocktail made with whiskey, cranberry juice, and rosemary simple syrup. This Cranberry Rosemary Whiskey Fizz is festive enough for Christmas and perfect all season long.

Ingredients
  

For the Rosemary Simple Syrup
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 –3 sprigs fresh rosemary
For the Cocktail
  • 1 shot whiskey 1.5 oz
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary simple syrup
  • Cranberry juice to top
  • 1 cinnamon stick use half in shaker, optional garnish with the other half
For the Garnish
  • Fresh cranberries
  • Sugar for rolling
  • Fresh rosemary sprig

Method
 

Make the Rosemary Simple Syrup
  1. Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Stir in 1 cup sugar until dissolved.
  3. Add fresh rosemary sprigs, remove from heat, and let steep 20 minutes.
  4. Strain and refrigerate until ready to use.
  5. Keeps for 1 week in the fridge.
Make the Cocktail
  1. Place half a cinnamon stick into a shaker.
  2. Add 1 shot whiskey, 1 tablespoon rosemary simple syrup, and cranberry juice to taste (usually 3–4 oz).
  3. Add ice and shake well.
  4. Wet a few cranberries and roll them in sugar to create a frosted “snow” effect.
  5. Pour the cocktail into a glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with:
  1. a fresh rosemary sprig, sugared cranberries, and a cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes

Prepare the rosemary simple syrup up to 7 days in advance. Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.
